Talk Back #10: The Hand of Fatima
Not even the bad weather in New York could deter our loyal audiences from showing up in support of our January screening of Augusta Palmer’s The Hand of Fatima. We were hosted by multimedia performance space The Tank and Pamela Cohn presided over moderating duties.
The doc played to a packed theater of enthusiastic supporters. A crucial part of the audience feedback revolved around how likable the main character, writer and musician Bob Palmer, had to be in order to allow the viewer to stay with the film. While some agreed that certain biographical details about Palmer stated earlier in the film would have helped to understand his actions, others felt strongly that real people aren’t always nice.
Let’s now hear more of your comments and keep this lively discussion going.
