Raw News or Not the Full Story?
Has anyone been following the BBC’s decision to present video footage without commentary? It’s an interesting choice in terms of news coverage. As a series of clips without a reporter, they are less like a news story and more like a home video. I find them pretty compelling to watch, but also wonder how much of my interest is stirred up by the action I see.
What do you think? Take a look at the protests in Greece as an example. Thessaloniki and Athens have been intense places for the past few days. Does this media do a good job of portraying that?
