COP-15 Begins Today!
The 15th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP-15) kicks off in Copenhagen, Denmark today. During the 11-day conference, leaders and activists will meet to discuss important environmental issues.
400 of the conference’s delegates arrived by the C02-neutral Climate Express from Brussels, an example of the more environmentally conscious transportation, which set the tone for the week ahead.
The schedule for COP-15 is packed with meetings between international delegates and organizations, but one highlight seems to be the Energy Tours, which include trips to a Danish wind farm and incineration plant to learn more about alternate forms of energy.
Check out our interview with documentary filmmaker Barbara Ettinger, who has traveled to COP-15 to talk about her film A Sea Change and the dangers of ocean acidification on the environment.
