Jessica
Hirsch became an activist at an early age. In sixth grade
she led a campaign against a major cosmetics company that was testing their
products on animals. The campaign as well
as general outcry forced the company to fund research for alternative
testing. Jessica is an attorney. She practiced general corporate and
entertainment law at Jones Hirsch Connors & Bull in New York City.
While
practicing law she was involved in development and fund raising of
documentaries. Recently, she produced and directed ROKA, a video and CD-Rom
about a jewelry designer and her Spring 2001
collection.

Carla Gutierrez
graduated from Williams College in 1998. Her work as a Studio Arts Major
reflected a
serious interest in the identity politics of the
underrepresented, both through her artistic pursuits and through her
on-campus activism.
She has worked in the advertising industry and has become an expert on the
US
Latino marketplace.
Recently she coordinated a grass-roots outreach initiative to promote the
documentary
NUYORICAN DREAM. This campaign aims to target under-served
Latino audiences.
