MediaRights.org and the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival are co-presenting the first annual Media That Matters Online Film Festival beginning June 15, 2001. The festival features 12 short films on social issues in the United States in one of the following four categories: documentary, narrative, PSA, or youth media.

Film is a powerful medium that can inspire audiences to make a difference. Once inspired, audiences need the tools to take action, so we built online campaigns around the issues explored in the Media That Matters Online Film Festival.
