Film Description
This twelve hour series includes rare, recently released footage from the Attica rebellion and interviews with participants in that historic event: William Kunstler and Herbert Blyden. Former Black Panther, Russell Shoats and MIT Professor Noam Chomsky are both interviewed on the first week. The series also includes an official tape from the prison establishment, arguing for corporations to utilize prisoners as a work force: “Why go abroad”, the tape says, “when you can have a disciplined work force here at home?” Included is a recent interview by Bruderhof Elder, Christoph Arnold, of Pennsylvania Death Row prisoner, Mumia Abu-Jamal.
