Film Description
As a young husband and father of two in the early 1980’s, Dana Kuhn was unaware that the course of his life was about to take an enormous detour. That road would lead through a dark tunnel of tragedy beyond the stress limits of the average man, yet eventually it break through to a life of hope and triumph not only for himself, but for the countless lives he would touch.
Dana and his young wife Patricia had a vast and promising future waiting right in from of them. Then, on March 26th, 1983, the world changed for Dana. While playing basketball in a charity event, a broken ankle resulted in a routine emergency room visit. As a hemophiliac, it was suggested that Dana receive a infusion of Factor VIII, a clotting agent used to help reduce swelling and speed recovery. This otherwise routine procedure had a shocking side effect two years later when Dana was diagnosed as HIV positive. With little being known about the disease at the time, Dana took the necessary precautions to prevent spreading the disease to his wife but despite his best efforts, his wife Patricia contracted the disease and with a full blown outbreak of AIDS. This film follows a man’s tremendous story through tragedy and triumph.
