Film Description
With interviews featuring seven local women who recount their experience working in New York City building trades industry, “Built By Women” highlights the personal and political challenges posed by being a woman in a “man's job” and the myriad of ways women have responded to these challenges. This video is part of a larger project that is currently documenting the stories of local tradeswomen and the role they have played in the construction in New York City.
