Film Description
New light is shed on Sigmund Freud’s theories of how the human mind works in this four-part documentary that examines the connections between certain Freudian principles and mass manipulation and consumerism. The program explores the work of Freud’s relatives (including marketing/PR gurus Edward Bernays and Matthew Freud) and turns a keen eye on how advertisers and politicians manipulate hidden desires and fears to control human behavior.
