“Hecho a Mano” is a Guatemalan-made documentary that follows as aspiring Mayan journalist through the heartland of the country to hear the stories of the indigenous communities.  Saul Roblero is the 24 year-old guide, and the town visited are San Juan Atitan, San Juan Acul and Chichicastenango.  Such important cultural issues are examined such as the tension between tradition and modernity, the importance of religious values and memories of the 26 year long civil war.  The Beautiful people and place of the Guatemala highlands are on display in this 30 minute documentary that has screened at festivals throughout the country and in Guatemala recieveing strong reviews.
