Film Description
Laman Az profiles the inspirational lives of two Chechen civilians, as well as, two Russian soldiers who fought in Chechnya during the Russian anti-terrorist operation in the 1990s. The story follows each character in their individual quests to redefine their young lives…each one having lost a leg to landmine explosions.
After strenuous training on the Chechen amputee soccer team, the Chechen boys find themselves playing on the Russian National Combined Amputee Soccer Team - coming together with former Russian soldiers for a common goal. Laman Az is an olive branch, offering a vision of how people can peacefully co-exist in spite of deep wounds from the past.
