Film Description
Mothers and Babies: Lesbians Creating Families is the first and only educational video about pregnancy, birth and parenting for lesbians. In the video, six lesbian couples share their stories with candor, humor and heart, along with expert insight from Liz Coolidge,
Coordinator of Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender Parenting services at Fenway Community Health Center in Boston, MA. It is an exceptional tool for clinics, health centers and childbirth classes as well as women who may not have the opportunity to meet like-minded families and share their questions and concerns about having a baby.
The video is in magazine format and features eight segments for individualized viewing: Wanting To Become Mothers, Choosing A Donor, Alternative Insemination and Conception, Pregnancy, Coming Out As Mothers, Labor and Birth, Finding Community and Transition to Motherhood.
