Film Description
For two gay men and the surrogate mother that bears their child, the journey to parenthood is a three-year, life-altering challenge. SWIMMING UPSTREAM, an in-depth documentary, chronicles each chapter of this story, from insemination rituals, fertility challenges and a miscarriage through pregnancy and the birth of a daughter. It is an outrageous and riveting portrait of an evolving American family with a 21st century twist.
