Film Description

“The Julian Sessions” is the story of a meeting where gay and straight participants are given the opportunity to ask each other candid, point-blank questions regarding their contrasting sexual orientations. Organized by gay activist, Julian, the meeting provides an unprecedented forum of open discourse that sheds light on the stigmas, as well as the similarities existing between the attendees.

A condescending housewife, a closeted police officer, and a Christian homophobe sit across from a gay man who wishes to marry his lifelong partner, a recently divorced bisexual woman, and a life-long lesbian. At times uncomfortable, at times touching, but always informative, “The Julian Sessions” is a study in openness and honesty as tools for achieving equality.
