Film Description
Just as it emerges from more than two decades of war, Afghanistan now finds itself embroiled in yet another conflict - the war against drugs. Afghan opium now accounts for 90 percent of the heroin on the streets of the UK and 75 percent globally. Despite a two-year eradication campaign led by western governments more Afghan farmers than ever are cultivating opium poppy and this year's harvest looks set to break records.
