Film Description
Coverage of the protests and hearings held in 2003 concerning a cobalt-60 food irradiator facility installed at CFC Logistics in Milford Township, PA. Fortunately the market for irradiating meat never materialized and in April 2005 CFC ceased operations. However, a license application has now been submitted to the NRC for a similar plant in Hawaii, designed by Gray*Star, Inc., the same corporation that engineered the Pennsylvania facility, for irradiation of fruit destined for export to the mainland (that's us).
