Film Description

The Nature of Beauty: is a groundbreaking feature-length documentary exposing the connections between consumerism, body hatred and the destruction of the natural world. This film explores the hidden and subtle ways we are encouraged, manipulated, and coerced to hate our bodies, undoubtedly for the economic benefit of a few. It will show that advertisers use psychology, spending millions, to exploit and influence people for economic gain. It is in these groups' interest to make us feel unhappy with our appearance and status in the world. This affects men as much as women in different and similar ways. It affects all of us in a basic way: disconnection from each other, nature, and ourselves. This film will serve as a critique of current beauty standards while also celebrating the beauty of individuals and the natural world.
