Film Description
Concerned with the inequities in the criminal justice system, and its treatment of youth, the YO-TV producers examine the New York City juvenile justice system. The documentary focuses on the societal factors that cause youth crime and the problems in the system while identifying a range of resources that youth need. By incorporating the personal stories of youth that have experienced the system and interviews with lawyers, community activists, and social workers, the youth producers show what can happen when youth enter into the maze of the criminal justice system.
