Film Description
When We Were Kings is an inspirational film about an amazing American pop icon, Mohammad Ali, who would beat the odds over and over again. The documentary film combines footage shot in 1974 with recently shot interviews of people associated with ‘The Rumble in the Jungle”, the 1974 Ali/Foreman fight in Zaire. It was this fight, sponsored by the corrupt African dictator, President Mobutu Sese Seko, that would help make promoter Don King’s career. This is a great opportunity for younger people who may not be familiar with Mohammad Ali, to discover his courage, charm and strength.
