Film Description
Despite statistics that crime by juveniles is declining, media coverage of youth crimes in recent years has skyrocketed. EVC youth producers examine if there is a link between the image of youth as "thugs" and "superpredators" and public policy. The youth explore the possibility that negative images of young people influence policymaking, thus causing the criminal justice system to crack down on youth offenders, and contributes to the trend of prosecuting young people as adults.
