P.O.V. announces The Diverse Voices Project
Submission Deadline Friday, February 1, 2002
With the support of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, P.O.V. is launching the Diverse Voices Project (DVP), seeking to extend the reach and impact of non-fiction programs produced by emerging minority filmmakers; i.e. who have not had a national PBS producing/directing credit.
DVP will provide co-production financing (up to $80K) for up to four selected non-fiction projects to make them available for national broadcast on P.O.V./PBS. Projects of any length up to two hours and at any stage of pre-production/production eligible for consideration; as long as P.O.V. funding guarantees a completed program for broadcast in 2003. Decisions will be announced in Spring, 2002.
Visit www.pbs.org/pov for full guidelines and entry form.
