Producer of Interactive Content — Cultural Programming

WNYC Radio, America's most listened-to public radio station, has established itself as one of public radio's leading web service providers. As we continue to expand this unique extension of WNYC, we seek a creative, energetic, resourceful, self-motivated individual to coordinate and generate music, cultural news and information content.

Reporting to the Director of Interactive Media, responsibilities include: producing and maintaining Music and Culture sections of WNYC.org; working closely with show producers, cultural reporters and music director to determine online coverage priorities; original music and culture writing and reporting and assisting with site-wide copy editing.

Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent; three years experience in Internet/New Media production and design (proficiency with multimedia tools, HTML, Photoshop, digital audio, etc); knowledge and passion for music, especially classical, and cultural events; excellent research and communication skills, proven ability to meet deadlines, a team player, and ability to pay attention to detail. Newswriting, reporting and/or copy editing experience preferred.
