RESISTING PARADISE (2003, 80 minutes)
A film by Barbara Hammer
The resistance of a small group of women in Provence who assisted Jews is contrasted with Matisse
and other artists who continued to paint landscapes during the Vichy period and Nazi occupation of
Southern France.
A conversation with the filmmaker will follow the screening.
