MIX: the New York Lesbian & Gay Experimental Film/Video Festival
Always a sexy cruising ground for radical opinion, MIX-17 celebrates our vital and living culture of resistance. MIX is mining the international underground and turning up hopeful signs of humanity. From the aggressive use of blue eye shadow to the insistent use of class-based analysis, from sex workers demanding labor rights to youth activists energizing their communities; MIX 17 features over 150 films and videos, performances by notorious New York
personalities, legendary parties, and plain old brilliant experimental film and video. So come on over to the Anthology and attend our screenings, meet the filmmakers, and party with the best and brightest of the downtown New York scene. Let's not forget -- every time we speak out, every time we create work, we are
creating a crack in the foundation of the dogmatically dull, stupid status quo.
Resistance is fertile!
