THE MEDIA THAT MATTERS FILM FESTIVAL COMES TO SAN FRANCISCO!
The Bay Area Video Coalition will be hosting the Media That Matters Traveling Film Festival on the evening of January 21st. This first Bay Area screening of the Festival includes short films and new media projects by over 16 documentary, narrative and experimental media makers, on subjects such as bullying, sexual abuse, the aftermath of a Texas oil refinery explosion, and CopWatch, a Bay Area group who peacefully observes police behavior. A lively discussion of the films plus Q&A with CopWatch, youth from WireTap Magazine and other community representatives will follow the screening.
