Rockefeller Resident Fellowship Program (For scholars, professionals and artists)
Deadline: February 28 2004
The University Center for International Studies (UCIS) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications from scholars, professionals and artists for the Rockefeller Humanities Residency Fellowship Program. The theme for this year is "Immigrants, Minorities, and the Specter of Race." The programme explores emergent voices of new immigrants in the globalising American south and their encounters in civil society and the provisioning of public goods, such as education, media, social welfare, and health care.
Preference will be given to those applicants focusing on immigration, media, media literacy and gender issues. Fellowships may range from 3-12 months.
