Media Arts Instructor Needed
Award-winning East Harlem children's program seeks Media Arts Instructor to facilitate a seven-week summer media project with a group of 15 media interns ages 13-15. Students will create a documentary style film following the theme of the summer camp. Film will be developed and produced by the youth with the supervision and training of the media instructor and support staff. In addition to the seven week project, there will be two intensive orientations for the interns held in June.
Project Dates: June 28-August 14th
Hours: up to 19 per week - Tuesday through Friday.
Additional Qualifications:
At least two years of classroom experience working with adolescents providing both media literacy and film production training. Training in digital video editing tools such as iMovie. Ability to create curriculum to meet the specific needs of our youth.
