ITVS is also launching a new development initiative, the Diversity Development Fund, for producers of color.

DATE: Saturday March 27, 2004, 3 pm— 7 pm (NEW TIME)
LOCATION: Chaplin Theatre, Raleigh Studios (NEW LOCATION) 5300 Melrose Avenue (at Van Ness Avenue)
Both the entrance and parking lot are on Van Ness directly across the studio.

All BAD-West members and those interested in knowing about BAD-West are invited. Admission is free and available on a "first come, first serve" basis.

PROGRAM: Claire Aguilar, Director of Programming for ITVS, will explain ITVS' production and broadcast mission, how it operates and other issues:

How often does ITVS request proposals? What are the nuts and bolts of a well-written treatment? How do you make your proposal competitive? What is the best way to present your production budget? The "pitch" is becoming an
important element in getting a project funded so how does one "pitch" a project?

There will be examples of ITVS-funded treatments and budgets. Clips of ITVS-funded projects will be screened. There will be a step-by-step case study of a project recently funded and distributed by ITVS. Producers with current
projects will also have an opportunity to pitch their ideas and those who wish can show a short video clip of their project.

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT, UPDATE AND FINE-TUNE YOUR FUNDRAISING TECHNIQUES FOR YOUR PROJECT!
