Job Announcement: Outreach Coordinator for Youth Channel
MNN Youth Channel's Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing innovative strategies for outreach and publicity.
Duties will include:
-Generate opportunities for youth to act as peer and community leaders through the exhibition of their work or other youth media.
-Develop and maintain relationships with youth, media, non-profit, and public interest organizations the local, national, and international levels.
-Create visibility for MNN Youth Channel's work through implementing on and off-line distribution strategies, as well as publicity.
-Build an infrastructure for Outreach (i.e. managing and creating databases) that is accessible to youth and other staff.
-Build strategic alliances and partnerships with a variety of
community-based groups.
-Manage and promote the Youth Channel Web Site.
Skills and Qualifications:
-Commitment to the mission of MNN Youth Channel and the promotion of youth media.
-Experience in marketing and distribution of media
-Proven ability to work with diverse individuals and groups
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Strong organizing and administrative skills
-Leadership abilities
-Requires thorough knowledge of, and experience with the current high school and college aged market.
