Festival Dates: May 27, 28, 29, 30 at Chautauqua Park

900 Baseline Road, Boulder, Colorado 80302

The Moondance mission is to entertain, inform, inspire, encourage and educate. Films and scripts can contribute to a healthier society and should encourage the active involvement of audiences to connect and act collectively to address social challenges. Our independent film programs are entertaining and enlightening, highlighting diverse cultures and stories from around the world. We honor those writers and filmmakers who, through their creative work, actively increase awareness, provide multiple viewpoints, address complex social issues, and strengthen ties between international audiences.

The long-term vision of Moondance is to preserve and revitalize our intangible heritage, cultivate creative diversity, develop an intercultural dialogue, and stimulate this creative resource, as well as to encourage non-violent conflict resolution and to promote women in the international film industry. Films and writings are an ideal means for communication across perceived boundaries of race, culture, age and gender.
