PROTEST COCA-COLA'S HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES!
What: Demonstration led by NYC Council Member Hiram Monserrate to protest Coke's sponsorship of a reception for the New York City Olympic torchbearers.
Why: Coca-Cola's abuses of human rights in Columbia/Use of sugar dangerously harvested by children in El Salvador(as exposed by the Human Rights Watch last week)/Hyper exploitation of water and environmental pollution in India/Opposing bottle bills(most effective way to recycle bottles)/Long standing racial discrimination in the U.S. and more.
When: Friday, June 8th @ 5:30 p.m.
Where: Gracie Mansion (Mayor Bloomberg's residence) on East End Ave and 88th St. in Manhattan.
