OneWorld TV Young Journalist Intiative applications
The OneWorld TV Young Journalist Initiative (YJI) invites applications from North American video journalists between the ages of 18 and 25 to attend and cover the first Americas Social Forum (ASF) in Quito, Ecuador, from July 25 - 30, 2004. The ASF is part of the World Social Forum (WSF) process initiated in 2001 and has become the largest space for the articulation of social initiatives, the development of critical thinking, and the construction of alternatives to the neo-liberal order, under the common belief that "Another World is Possible." OWTV will provide transportation and accommodations for a North American-based video journalist to accompany them and a South American-based journalist to the ASF. The video journalist will shoot and edit stories, onsite, and then upload them to the OneWorld TV website.
