Opportunity for Media Curators, Programmers, and Exhibitors!
DRIFT: An On-Line Salon About Contemporary Media Curating (July 8-28, 2004). Presented by NAMAC and moderated by Steve Seid, video curator of the Pacific Film Archive. Join in for a lively and vital salon about changes that can be seen as unnerving obstacles or inspiring challenges for the contemporary media curator. Curating moving image media has never been a stable affair. By nature, they have drifted, over time, through mutating exhibition venues and presentation modes, their passage further complicated by new technical platforms, artistic ambitions, audience expectations, commercial exploitation, and the fluctuating popularity of the various mediums. Participants should be current NAMAC members. For more informations please visit our website. For NAMAC Membership info visit: http://www.namac.org/join.cfm
