Creative Time
Just as the voice of the people emerges, Creative Time gives us what we need to move forward: amplification. As seen in our banner image above, a giant red megaphone on top of a flight of stairs in Foley Square (near the US Courthouse in Lower Manhattan) is open to anyone and everyone to speak their mind '"? loudly. The Freedom of Expression National Monument was designed (aptly) in 1984 by artists Laurie Hawkinson, John Malpede, and Erika Rothenberg. What better time than now to bring it back? (Special events take place every Tue and Thu at 4:30pm.)
