Population Media Center Cartoon Contest
Population Media Center announces the first annual National Population Cartoon Contest! Population Media Center will give away $10,000 in prizes to those cartoonists who can best portray the relationship between human population growth and issues affecting the quality of life. These issues can include environmental degradation, poverty, biodiversity, urban migration, food and water supply, energy, maternal and child health, status of women, and national conflicts. The grand prize winner will also receive an all-expense paid trip to New York City to attend the awards event!
Eligibility Requirements
* Entries must have been published in a reputable publication in the
United States by September 10, 2004.
* Entries are RETROACTIVE. Entries published after January 1, 2000 are eligible.*
* Applicants must be U.S. residents.
* Entries must be received by Friday, September 10, 2004. Send to:
