Chisholm '72 opens Friday, 24 September at BAM Rose Cinemas
In 1972, Brooklyn Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm's candidacy for President of the United States mobilized an entire community of voters who had felt disenfranchised by the major political parties. Today, her legacy and story will inspire and rally a new generation with this incredible documentary which chronicles Mrs. Chisholm's journey from Concord Baptist Church in BedStuy, Brooklyn to the Democratic National Convention in Miami.
The film opens Friday September 24th at BAM Rose Cinemas for an one week run.
On-site voter registration opening weekend with Rock the Vote!
Filmmaker Shola Lynch will be on hand for questions and answers opening
weekend.
