Critical Themes in Media Studies Conference
5th Annual Graduate Conference: Critical Themes in Media Studies Sat., Oct. 23, 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Free admission.
The event presents multidisciplinary, theoretical, and critical approaches to a broad range of media studies. A series of panels showcases academic presentations by students of The New School's Graduate Media Studies program, the Graduate Faculty and other schools. Featured topics include new technologies, popular culture, public sphere, cyberspace, representation, activism, social change, video games, media theory, film, semiotics, gender, identity, and visual culture. Presented by the New School Graduate Program in Media Studies.
Tickets are sold at the Box Office at 66 West 12th Street.
Students with valid ID can obtain free tickets to most special
programs.
