Youth Speaks Friendraiser
The 2004 Youth Speaks Friendraiser is happening on Monday, November 15 from 6:30 to 8:30pm. This gala event will feature some of the Bay's hottest young poets, a short workshop given by Marc Bamuthi Joseph, and more- along with dinner & drinks. The Friendraiser is our annual effort to expand our community of poets and supporters by presenting who we are and what we do. It's fun and inspiring, and a perfect opportunity for you to show your support by bringing your friends and introducing your community to Youth Speaks.
In anticipation of the 2005 National Youth Poetry Slam Festival happening right here in San Francisco, the Friendraiser theme this year is Brave New Voices. We have lots of programs to fund, so we can use your help this year more than ever! The event is by invitation only, so if you would like to be our guest, volunteer at the Friendraiser, or help in the planning of this spectacular event.
