Indigenous People's Advocate & Maasai Leader At Lantern Books
Daniel Salau from Simba Maasai Outreach Organization, based in Kenya, will be speaking at the offices of Lantern Books, Wednesday, May 18th, 2005, at 6:30 pm. The event is free.

The Simba Maasai Outreach Organization (SIMOO) works on a wide range of issues in partnership with Maasai communities in and around the Ngong Hills area of Kenya. Daniel will be in New York City to attend the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. He will give an overview of his organization's work on the environment and human rights and plans for future programs and policy advocacy.
