Adventures in Shorts Oscar-nominated short
Adventures in Shorts an enthralling doc on filmmaking w/ Oscar-nominated short Little Terrorist. Filmmaker Ashvin Kumar dropped out of Film School in London and took guerilla-tactic filmmaking to a different level. He showed up in Cannes 3 years ago with a script and a camera to record his experience. Went back wiser and scrounged to shoot his first short 'Road to Ladakh' (was too long @45 mins). Got more feedback from Cannes and directed Little Terrorist - a multi-award winning short that took him to the Oscars. The DVD includes the short films but more fascinating are the documentaries capturing 'Can you Cannes?' and the 'Making of ...' docs that record the creativity applied to his filmmaking by assembling a top-notch crew from a film site.
