Help Pass the Unintended Pregnancy Act!
The New York State Assembly passed the Unintended Pregnancy Prevention Act in January 2005, but the Senate has yet to act. TIME IS RUNNING OUT! There are only a few days left before the end of the 2005 NYS Legislative session- and another year when the women of NYS are denied expanded access to emergency
contraception.
The \"Unintended Pregnancy Prevention Act\" would allow women to get emergency contraception pills (ECPs) directly from registered nurses and pharmacists licensed by the State of New
York without first getting a prescription. This important legislation will enable women in New York State to avoid unintended pregnancy.
