Fifty Years Celebrating Spanish Cinema
July 27-29, 2005

For the past fifty years, the Valladolid International Film Festival, Spain's premier film festival, has been a major force behind the re-emergence of Spanish cinema worldwide. Since its creation, it has been characterized by its innovative programming and courageous spirit. As a special presentation of the New York International Latino Film Festival, the Valladolid International Film Festival is bringing its 50th Anniversary celebrations to New York City, by presenting a special series of five recent award-winning films including Cannes Film Festival's Fipresci Award winner LAS HORAS DEL DIA (The Hours of the Day) and two-time Goya Award winner LA CAJA 507 (Box 507). All films will be shown in Spanish with English subtitles at Tribeca Cinemas. Come celebrate with us the vitality of Spanish cinema!
