The Film:
At 15, Shelby Knox pledges celibacy until marriage, but she also spearheads a campaign for sex education in the Lubbock, Texas high schools. Sundance Cinematography Award Winner and Grand Jury Prize Nominee. Co-Directors: Marion Lipschutz and Rose Rosenblatt. 2005. 73 min.

"Shelby Knox is a brave, smart, independent high-school-age crusader for sex education in Lubbock, Texas... A pungent civics lesson on what can and cannot be accomplished by one plucky, idealistic girl."- The New York Times

"[An] amazing documentary... If the next American generation contains more Shelby Knoxes, we might have a much healthier republic in the future... Lipschutz and Rosenblatt hit pure gold when they elected to follow the nascent political career of Shelby Knox."- The Hollywood Reporter
