On Wednesday, September 14th, DV Republic follows up last month's successful Media Coalition Networking Salon with another special guest who will continue the discussion of film funding: Ruby Lerner, the President of the Creative Capital Foundation, a innovative arts foundation modeled on venture capital concepts. Attendance is a must for filmmakers seeking funds for their next production. DV Republic "citizens" can RSVP on the upcoming events page of the DV Republic website.

We thank DV Republic citizens who attended the sold out screenings at the Museum of Moving Image last week. The feedback is that the party was fun (good food, great music, and pretty people). The highest praise went to the film we screened, Favela Rising. The audience left the theater wiping tears from their eyes, but uplifted. (They also agreed that the trip out to the Museum in the
Astoria section of Queens was so close and easy that they regretted now attending previous screenings).

Citizens of DV Republic are a smart group of social concerned,media savvy individuals. Our monthly offline events (screenings at the Museum of the Moving Image and Media Coalition Networking Salons at the Tribeca Cinemas) provide an opportunity to connect in person and continue the discussion we hold online. We hope to see
you on Wednesday.
