Encounter Point

What happens when a former Israeli settler, a convicted Palestinian fighter,a bereaved Israeli mother and a wounded Palestinian ex-prisoner cross paths in one of the most explosive regions in the world? Their journeys lead them to the unlikeliest places to confront hatred within their communities. What drives them and thousands of other like-minded civilians to overcome anger
and grief to work for grassroots solutions? And why is it, with the world's cameras focused on this conflict, we have never heard about them? A film about the everyday leaders within our midst. Our Israeli/Palestinian/North American/ Brazilian production team includes: the writer and editor of the critically acclaimed documentary, Control Room, Julia Bacha; Director Ronit Avni; renowned cinematographers Mickey Elkeles and Labib Jazmawi (At the Green Line) and Emmy-Award Nominee Judith Helfand (Blue Vinyl, A Healthy Baby Girl).
