Conference: Children in Chains: the Growth of Child Slavery in the U.S.
Media 4 Humanity is a nonprofit, nonpartisan 501(c)3 charitable organization of media professionals brightening the lives of disadvantaged children. Projects include: revitalizing public school libraries in NYC and in New Orleans;creating sports days, spa nights, literacy activities, self-esteem-building programs, and public service campaigns on a national and global level.
Our focus for the luncheon... and for the ensuing anti child-slavery campaign... is on America and how we can protect our children.
It's frightening to learn that child slavery is growing in America. Still, we can do something about it and that will be discussed at our luncheon.
Moderator: Curtis Sliwa, host of the #1 morning radio talk show on WABC and Guardian Angels founder.
Host: Tina Louise, actress (Ginger on Gilligan's Island), children's writer and advocate.
Honored Guest: Photo-Journalist Dr. Ruth Gruber who, at 94, is on her 18th book. World's youngest PhD recipient when she was 20. Rescued 1000 children during the Holocaust.
