International Human Rights Day - Special Event
In commemoration of International Human Rights Day (December 10th) WITNESS and The Cooper Union invite you to attend a special event on Thursday December 8, 2005 at 6:30pm to highlight the impact of video in human rights and how personal stories can be transformed into powerful tools for justice. A representative from WITNESS partner Human Rights Focus will also discuss the organization's upcoming video campaign to end the use of torture against the internally displaced population (IDP) in Northern Uganda, a region that has been embroiled in a civil war for almost two decades.
The event is FREE and open to the public.
When: Thursday, Dec. 8th, 6:30pm
Where: Cooper Union, Wollman Auditorium, 51 Astor Place, 8th Street between 3rd/4th Avenues.
