CALL FOR ENTRIES::: Portland Documentary and eXperimental Film Festival 2006

Peripheral Produce’s Fifth Annual Portland Documentary and eXperimental Film Festival is now accepting submissions for its five-day exposition taking place April 26-30, 2006. The PDX FEST is dedicated to showcasing new and innovative film and video from around the world and focuses on non-narrative works that go against the grain of mainstream entertainment. We look for artistic, underground, quirky and challenging work that reflects contemporary culture, documents historic oddities, and is otherwise unclassifiable.

Categories include: experimental, documentary, and underground, and work of all lengths will be considered. Exhibition formats include 35mm, 16mm, Beta SP, and DV. Live and performative works, as well as women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply. Preview copies must be on VHS or DVD.

There is a $15 entry fee, and the early deadline is December 16, 2005 (late deadline Jan 20, 2006- late fee applies). Please download both the festival entry guidelines and entry form and read them over carefully. Visit www.peripheralproduce.com for full application instructions and guidelines.
