Free Speech? Fair Use
Who Owns Our History? Who Shapes Our Culture?
When: March 3, 2006 at 7:00 PM
Where: The Cantor Film Center at NYU, 8th St. and University Place, Greenwich Village
What: Filmmakers, broadcasters, lawyers and scholars rally to explain and discuss how documentary filmmakers are taking back the right to claim fair use of copyrighted material in certain circumstances using the new handbook Documentary Filmmakers' Statement of Best Practice in Fair Use.
