Where: The Cantor Film Center at NYU, 8th St. and University Place, Greenwich Village

What: Filmmakers, broadcasters, lawyers and scholars rally to explain and discuss how documentary filmmakers are taking back the right to claim fair use of copyrighted material in certain circumstances using the new handbook Documentary Filmmakers' Statement of Best Practice in Fair Use. Documentaryvfilmmakers across the country are learning how to utilize this new 8-page handbook developed by filmmakers for filmmakers and vetted by a legal team to understand when and how to use fair use.
