"Film Your Issue" Nationwide Call for Submissions

Film Your Issue (FYI) is a groundbreaking socially conscious film competition. With major partners like George Clooney, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Barack Obama, and Mark Cuban among others, FYI invites young Americans ages 18-26 to create a 30-60 second live-action or animated "issue film."

Any social issue that elicits passion for you, from AIDS to homelessness to healthcare to discrimination. Any approach is welcome, using honesty, humor, seriousness to present a society issue that you feel strongly about.We encourage raw, open, honest expression, as well as inventive cinematic and creative approach.

Six finalist entries will be selected by a process of voting by the public and VIP Judges. The top-voted entry in each of the six categories will be broadcast on mtvU, mtvU Uber, MSN Video and MSNBC.com, and other platforms, and presented at the Maui Film Festival.

One candidate from each of the six winning films will receive a trip to New York City, including airfare and accommodations, for the cocktail awards ceremony at United Nations Headquarters.

Also, one candidate from each of the six winning films will receive a trip to Park City, Utah, in January 2007, during festival season, including airfare and accommodations, where MSN Spaces will present the top finalists and their entries at a private event. They will also receive a Motorola RAZR V3 mobile phone and a Toshiba Qosmio laptop.

Two of the six finalist candidates will be selected for a paid 8-week internship at Paramount Pictures and The Walt Disney Company.
